So, you want to start a business or a side gig but have no clue or too many ideas about what to focus on?
We recently held a group-coaching series with participants who were working on either starting a business or a freelance gig but needed help as to what activity they could consider launching with.
I share with you a quick and simple "Map" I used to help them clarify their thoughts.
The Map which is inspired by Ikigai concepts and applied to entrepreneurship helps identify an area of Flow that emerges at the convergence of 4 dimensions:
- What you love? Which is linked to our passion.
- What the world needs? Your specific purpose.
- What are you good at? Your specific talent.
- What are you being paid for?
Ideally, you would want to design a business where all these 4 items are full all the time.
Score yourself in each of these 4 areas and when you put them down, it will give you a score out of 40.
